Kari is a Senior Engineering Manager at Webflow where she supports the product growth and billing & pricing teams. Kari has a passion for empowering others and diversifying the technology industry. She previously worked at Nordstrom as an Engineering Manager and Ada Developers Academy as Director of Education and Technology.
When she's not working or reading, Kari is probably having a dance party with her daughter, at the park with her dog Kylo, or writing songs about snacks.

Richa is a software engineer at Microsoft, shipping products to millions of users every week. She is a member of Ada's second graduating cohort. Richa has over five years of work experience at startups and large corporations including Expedia and Moz. She has an insatiable appetite for learning and has advanced her career using her knack of making meaningful connections. Having benefited from excellent mentorship, she is paying it forward by mentoring aspiring engineers. As an immigrant and passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Richa also serves on the Board of Directors for Northwest Immigrant Rights Project.
Val is a Japanese/ESL teacher turned software engineer, currently working at the Allen Institute for Immunology. Val has spent most of her career writing Platforms-as-a-Service in Go, aiming to make the development experience easier for other devs and data scientists. A theme of her work at each job thus far has been “massive scale”, from huge image datasets and game servers used by thousands of simultaneous players around the world, to petabyte-level scientific pipeline analysis.
In her spare time Val enjoys immersion-based language-learning (currently working on French and Mandarin), drawing, Japanese pop culture, and laughing about poop with her stepkids.
When faced with coordinating supply, communications, and registration across her family's two preschool Tehut discovered a passion for automation. That interest led her to Ada Developers Academy. Since graduating with Cohort 7 Tehut has had the opportunity to do freelance web development work for the Linux Foundation and worked on a cloud-y team at Getty Images before joining Hashicorp in 2019. Outside of tech Tehut is still an active contributor in the family business and can't wait to talk to you about Star Trek Deep Space Nine.
Tamiko Terada is a Queer, Japanese immigrant and a Member of Technical Staff II at VMware working on cloud infrastucture with Kubernetes. Before Ada (Cohort 7~!), she was working in the nonprofit, music, and restaurant industries. As a Capricorn sun && Enneagram 4, she loves writing poetry, cooking/baking, animals, and epic board games.

Kat Perreira is an Ada alum (cohort 10) and has the privilege of parenting a 14-year-old teenager. Kat has been a single parent for most of their kid’s life and they’ve developed a comfortable rhythm for parenting with respect, love and humor.
Kate has been parenting thru hybrid classroom/remote C13 and fully remote during her internship. She keeps her children at bay with ice cream and her eye on the prize to become a full-fledged software engineer with big hopes to support her whole coffee problem.
Jillian Boshart is an Ada Alum from C5, and is currently working at Hulu. Jillian became a mom in the spring of 2019, and has now been a mom in quarantine longer than she was out of quarantine.
Mina Shin is a C11 Ada Alum and a mother of two. She is a strong advocate that mothers make exceptional software engineers.
